Carey-Hiroyuki Tagawa (better known as Carey Tagawa) was born in Tokyo in September 1950 in the family of a military man who worked at an American base and actress. As a young man, Carey Hiroyuki Tagawa worked on a farm, drove a truck and a limousine, delivered pizza and worked as a photojournalist. Only 16 years later, he decided to become a movie actor.

Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa’s cinematic biography began in 1986, when he turned 36 years old. The debut took place in the film “Armed resistance”, where the aspiring actor got a secondary role. Often, Carey-Hiroyuki embodied on the screen famous historical or fictional characters. In the military drama “Pearl Harbor”, he played the legendary commander Minoru Gand, in the film “Tekken” he played the role of the main character of the game of the same name Heihati Mishima. In the image of the character of the Mortal Kombat universe named Shan Tsung Tagawa appeared on the screen twice: in the full-length film of 1995 “Mortal Kombat” and its continuation in 2013 – the series “Mortal Kombat: Legacy”.
